Are you hungry?

How do you know? What causes the feeling of hunger and how do the brain and stomach communicate? Hunger is a force that has caused the French Revolution (for a really descriptive example of this, read Dickens’  A Tale of Two Cities in book one, chapter 5), motivated various wars in history, and contributes the lives of everyone.
